Herbs and Vitamins for Nerve Regeneration

The Top 4 Herbs And Vitamins For Nerve Regeneration

Nerve damage can happen as a result of aging or from suffering from diseases such as diabetes. Nerve pain can be such an agonizing experience. Over-the-counter drugs may help ease the pain but they don’t fully heal your nerves.

Consuming certain vitamins and herbs can help with the nerve problem you’re experiencing. Let’s review the top 4 herbs and vitamins that can help with nerve regeneration in your body:

Nerve Regeneration Herbs

1. Ginger

Considered as a natural herb, ginger is consumed in almost every home. Being sweet and aromatic, it is used as an ingredient in many dishes. It also has high medicinal value in it, especially when treating nerve pain stemming from neuropathy.

Ginger is loaded with strong antioxidant effects and properties which aid in digestion and has proven to be a great pain reliever. It also helps improve the functionality of joints and muscles.

You can consume ginger roots by eating them, swallowing them as supplements, or taking them as tea.  It is easy to find in the market and is a great herb for nerve regeneration. Try it today.

2. Vitamin E

Vitamin E is well known for its ability to prevent nerve damage as well as healing the nerves. If you’ve been having an issue with your body absorbing vitamin E, you could possibly be suffering from nerve damage arising from the absorption problem.

Proven studies show that vitamin E fights against free radicals responsible for nerve damage on the eyes, slows down nerve damage caused by diabetes, and minimizes inflammation in the entire body.

It’s important to note that if you’ve been lacking vitamin E in your body, it will take months of consuming the vitamin before your nerves and muscles are fully supplemented with it. And while vitamin E works great in nerve regeneration, supplementing it excessively may have some bad side effects. It’s highly advisable that you seek professional guidance from a doctor.

3. Burdock Root

Burdock root is a herb with several antioxidant and anti-inflammatory capabilities and is used to naturally treat diseases like cancer, diabetes, and multiple sclerosis. It activates blood circulation, relieves swelling and helps treat nerve damage pain arising from inflamed tissues and muscles.

It is advisable, however, to consult with a doctor before taking burdock root to avoid suffering from severe allergic reactions in the event that you may be allergic to it. Let a doctor guide you on the proper dosage of burdock root to consume to help your body with nerve regeneration.

4. B Vitamins

Insufficiency of B vitamins within the body particularly B6, B12, and thiamin can be a major cause of nerve damage. Daily intake of B vitamin complex can greatly help with healing nerve damage.

Nerve damage caused by diabetes can be corrected by supplementing B vitamin in your body. However, take caution that you do not supplement a higher amount than what the preferred daily value is as this would have a negative impact on your nerves. For example, consuming more than a 200mg dose of B6 daily could potentially contribute to nerve damage.

B vitamins help with nerve regeneration but it is important that you take them under the guidance of a certified doctor.

Conclusion

If you’ve been suffering from neuropathy, consider getting supplements for nerve damage that will help you with pain relief and nerve damage regeneration.

  • I had a pinched nerve for 4 months before having surgery, dictomertry, and the pain down the front of my leg is no better. I can walk about 20 ft and the pain starts. Lots of times, it is worse when I first get out of bed. It is a stabbing pain and feels like a deep pain. Any suggestions?
