To keep blood sugar consistent, experts suggest having small frequent meals throughout a day. For a temporary relief, lying down with cold wet washcloth above forehead can be helpful. When the brain pays attention to cold stimulus, it is unlikely to pay attention to pain. When the headache has a link with sinus pressure or cold, a hot shower may wake up from pain, believe some experts. One of the easiest ways to have temporary relief is a 30 minute massage. It is better to drink enough water throughout the day and stay away from alcohol.

  • Fortunately, the migraines are not coming that often. But learning to read the signs of an oncoming attack, does help a lot. I am still in the process of finding out what triggers migraines and what I can do to prevent them in the first place.
