Whiten Your Teeth at Home

5 Inexpensive Ways to Whiten Your Teeth At Home

An elephant has two sets of teeth, one to chew with and the other (tusks) to show off. But we don’t have such a privilege. What we show off is what we have to chew with. Not all of us are perfect, and our teeth reflect similar traits too. Some have robust but pale teeth while the others own pearly yet brittle teeth. Nonetheless, we go about our lives and find ways to improve whatever it takes.

Most of us may have tried all the ways under the sun to get rid of the dental issues, but not all work wonders. I have also gone through that phase, and in some cases, my situation got so worse that I was forced to hunt for a good dentist near me and get out of the mess. Anyway, after learning it the hard way, I decided to first focus on the show-off part, that is, whitening of teeth. As such, after extensive research, I have come up with five of the most inexpensive ways to whiten your teeth at home. Let’s have a look:

  1. The Three Musketeers

The more problems we face, the more adventurous our lives become, and to wade through this journey, and we need to make an acquaintance with our saviors. Our teeth, too, need an acquaintance when subjected to a harsh life filled with exotic stuff that we consume. Those three musketeers that our teeth desperately need are Toothpaste, Sea Salt, and Lemon. While lemon is a recurring character in our quest for white teeth, the trio has a lot more to offer. Individually, they perform fine, but when mixed, their efficacy increases exponentially. But how to use it?

First, take a little bead of toothpaste in a bowl, add half a teaspoon of sea salt and mix it well with the juice of one lemon. Now massage your teeth with this mixture, preferably with the index finger, let it be for two minutes, and rinse your mouth gently with fresh water and try not to swallow the mixture. Moreover, use it only twice a week.

  1. The Fantastic Four

We can call this a perfect sequel to the three musketeers. The fourth character here is the baking soda. It helps in preserving dental hygiene by removing bad odor and keeping the pH level in check. Together with toothpaste, lemon juice, and sea salt, baking soda ensures our teeth remain pearly white. Take a bead of toothpaste in a bowl, add a few pinches of baking soda and sea salt along with six-seven drops of lemon juice. Mix them well, apply on a toothbrush, and gently brush your teeth for at least two minutes. Now rinse thoroughly and witness its magic. This superhero-mixture is so powerful that you need to use it once every two months.

  1. The Milky Way

Ever thought of mixing milk powder with a toothpaste? It may sound a strange way to deal with pale teeth, but do not even think of doubting its efficacy. It is a fancy mixture and guarantees whiter teeth. Milk powder is a concentrated punch of pH maintainers and minerals, which help prevent acidification and re-mineralize tooth enamel. It is easy to use. Just apply the toothpaste of your choice on your toothbrush, sprinkle some milk powder over it and begin the usual process of brushing your teeth. Do this twice a week and see the difference. There will come a time when, no matter how far you are, the brightness of your smile will be visible for sure!

  1. The Raw Effect

Raw Fruits and Veggies

We are addicted to finished goods. After the industrial revolution, we have come a long way from using raw materials to converting them into fancy finished goods. We rarely behold the sight of us eating freshly plucked fruits and vegetables directly from the farm. We love the flavor but not the source. We deem raw consumption uncivilized. Now that our trustworthy scientists have proven the benefits of eating some of them raw, we can safely resume this practice. Fruits like Strawberry, Apple, Pineapple, and veggies like Broccoli, Carrots, etc. act as a gentle scrub and remove stains from your teeth without hurting the enamel. Their pulp refines the shine of your teeth and promotes the growth of friendly bacteria. Try to incorporate raw fruits and veggies more often.

  1. Carbon and Hydrogen

These two elements are the building blocks of everything that is in our Universe. They join and break to sustain life as we know it. For promoting shiny teeth, we can use some of their effective derivatives like Activated Charcoal and Hydrogen Peroxide. Medicine-grade charcoal is a tasteless and odorless substance that has the power to remove any stain whatsoever. You can use it thrice a week but in a limited amount.

On the other hand, HP is a natural bleaching agent that kills both harmful bacteria and stubborn stains. Dampen a cotton swab in liquid HP and apply it gently over the teeth. Do this once a week, and for those with sensitive teeth, try not to use more than once a month. Use them with caution as they can prove harmful if not used judiciously. Moreover, avoid using them if you have abrasion, cut, or an open wound in the mouth.

Conclusion:

It is said that one should choose what is right, no matter what one likes. Here, we have tried to present only the right choices which you would surely like.
